Stack and Whack

I love this quilt. It was fun to make and pretty easy too.

This quilt was made with much love after our darling Hannah was killed in December of 2008 in a car wreck. Grandma Melon and I made this for her Mom and Dad. I knew we would need some therapy while grieving so this helped a titch.

I don't know how I get any quilting done honestly!

Stained Glass Quilt

This quilt is so striking when done but is paper pieced and takes awhile to do.

Perfect Sunday

wow! I got a lot done today. Since I mowed yesterday, I was able to stay in almost all day today. Got the binding sewn on a Strip Tease quilt I finished a long time ago, finished a baby quilt for a friend, got the backer and binding ready for that to be quilted, finished the Stained Glass quit for a wedding gift this summer and organized a few things for a quilting retreat in May. Schwew...

A new part of my quilting "career"

Do you like that I call it a "career"? Ha. I have been quilting for about 6 years - wow. Sometimes I wonder how I have gotten so many quilts done but then when I see 6 years, I get it. I started like many of my friends, buying a super cheap (but oh so heavy) sewing machine off of Ebay, then starting with a rag quilt. Easy. You feel so smart and then they talk you into a class and start piecing - ahhhhhhhhhhhhh. But each class has been a learning event, which is exactly what they are designed for, so I must be doing the right thing there. Now I am signed up for a stack and whack true kaleidescope pattern that I am so amazed with I can't wait for it.

Ok, so this is my first blog ever (thanks to Chelle) so I will add some pictures and then continue "blogging" for awhile to see if anyone cares! I know I do !

With interest,
